Job Title: Configuration Technician - Warehouse
Job Description
The Configuration Technician works in a warehouse setting to configure, test, and verify smartphones and tablets according to established procedures. This role combines hands-on work with mobile devices and basic warehouse tasks such as picking, scanning, and inventory verification while standing at a workstation for extended periods.
Responsibilities
Work hands-on with smartphones and tablets to complete configuration and setup tasks.
Locate device settings menus and apply configuration changes according to written or verbal instructions.
Set up mobile devices following detailed configuration guidelines and standard operating procedures.
Power on tablets and perform functional testing as directed to ensure proper operation.
Review and follow pick sheets and order sheets to identify required products and quantities.
Use RF scanners to verify, track, and confirm products and orders within the warehouse.
Assist with basic warehouse activities such as picking, loading, unloading, and inventory verification as needed.
Operate pallet jacks safely to move products or equipment within the warehouse when required.
Maintain an organized and clean workstation while working at a desk or workbench for up to 10 hours per day.
Follow all established safety, quality, and productivity standards while handling devices and warehouse equipment.
Essential Skills
Hands-on experience working with smartphones and tablets, including navigating settings and basic device functions.
Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions for device configuration and testing.
Experience using RF scanners to verify and track products in a warehouse or similar environment.
Familiarity with viewing and working from pick sheets and order sheets.
Capability to stand and work at a desk or workstation for extended periods, up to 10 hours per day.
Basic warehouse experience, including picking, loading, unloading, and inventory-related tasks.
Ability to operate or learn to operate pallet jacks safely.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when configuring devices and verifying products.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with iPads or similar tablets in a configuration, testing, or support capacity.
Comfort using smartphones for work-related tasks beyond personal use.
Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
Willingness to perform both technical device work and general warehouse duties as needed.
Reliability and consistency in meeting productivity and quality expectations.

Work Environment
This position is based in a warehouse setting that includes designated desks or workstations for device configuration and testing. You spend most of the shift standing or working at a station for up to 10 hours, handling smartphones, tablets, RF scanners, and pick/order sheets. The environment involves typical warehouse conditions, including movement of products, use of pallet jacks, and coordination with other team members on the floor. Dress is practical and appropriate for warehouse work, with comfortable clothing and closed-toe footwear suitable for standing, walking, and operating basic material-handling equipment.

This is a Contract position based out of CAROL STREAM, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
