Description We are looking for a Medical Customer Service Representative to join our team in Carmichael, California. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who excel in providing outstanding patient support in a medical office setting. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and attentive experience.
• Manage inbound and outbound calls related to patient inquiries, appointment scheduling, and reminder notifications.
• Verify patient insurance details and assist with billing inquiries to ensure accurate documentation.
• Utilize electronic practice management systems to maintain and update patient records.
• Collaborate with medical staff to enhance physician efficiency and optimize clinic resources.
• Address patient concerns and resolve issues promptly to uphold the clinic's reputation.
• Perform data entry and administrative tasks using standard office equipment and software.
• Apply medical terminology knowledge to support accurate communication and documentation.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up care for patients.
• Uphold confidentiality standards and comply with all clinic policies and procedures. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least six months of experience in a medical office or high-volume customer service environment.
• Proficiency in keyboarding and familiarity with computer systems and office equipment.
• Strong organizational skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and its application in a healthcare setting.
• Experience with electronic practice management systems is preferred.
• Ability to handle patient interactions with professionalism and empathy.
