Putnam Family & Community Services Accounting Coordinator in Carmel, New York
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Coordinator to join our mission-driven nonprofit outpatient behavioral health organization. This role supports the finance department by ensuring accurate processing of financial transactions and maintaining strong internal controls that support high-quality community services. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and committed to supporting the financial integrity of a nonprofit organization serving individuals and families. Accounts Receivable. Payroll. Bank & Account Reconciliations. Assist with month end closing and preparations of journal entries. Supports audit preparation and ability to work with external auditors. Qualifications: Associates Degree in Accounting or at least two years experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and General Ledger. Knowledge of Non-Profit Accounting Software. Fluent in Excel & QuickBooks. Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams and Zoom. CoveCare Center offers a comprehensive benefits package for all full-time employees.
