Black Bear Casino Resort Security Manager in Carlton, Minnesota

Supervises the security staff to include the selection and retention of subordinates, approving and disapproving leave requests, evaluating performance, determining training needs, scheduling, disciplining, etc. Coordinates activities with Gaming Manager. Conducts reviews of activities. Identifies problems or deficiencies related to the Security Department. Also identifies problems and/or deficiencies related to casino operation. Recommends and/or implements appropriate corrective measures. Incumbent is responsible for the safety and security of personnel, clients, patrons, facility, and other property belonging to the casino. Maintains liaisons with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies in all matters of mutual interest, and local fire departments regarding fire and safety prevention. Conducts special investigations by initiation, or at the request of the RBC, Executive Director, Gaming Manager, Tribal Attorney, or RBC Designee into matters which would adversely affect the integrity of the casino. Oversees the maintenance of security equipment to include record keeping and to initiate recommendations for the purchase or replacement of equipment as needed. Initiate surveys of security and other matters of interest to management as directed. Develops programs designed to improve the unit's self-image and the public image of security officers assigned. Review the activity of Security Shift Leader, and the Security Officers, Dispatch, their assignments, performance, and training activity. Appropriate work attire is required. Must attend all mandatory department trainings. Must attend all required Title 31 and/or SAR trainings. Ensures confidentiality of financial records and all records for employees and/or clients. Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems. Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers. Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community. Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies. Maintains a clean and organized work area. Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
