General Trading Co., Inc. in Carlstadt, NJ is hiring for an experienced FULL TIME & PART TIME, DAY & NIGHT SHIFT Security Guards.

Job Description: Security Guards are responsible to effectively protect the property which includes the building, employees and all merchandise, equipment and records. We welcome former police and military personnel.
Functions:
Maintain order on the site by coordinating timely response to emergency conditions/situations, including fire and safety hazards in a calm, rational and persuasive manner
Patrol and inspection of aisles and interior of building, as well as check locks, doors and parking areas for illegal activity
Investigate possible missing merchandise and report findings
Handle violations of Company policy to guarantee the safety of the employees and property
Create and submit written reports of all incidents, accidents, or medical emergencies
Accept and scan all products returned by drivers. Inspect items to insure they correlate with all labels and product descriptions. Check for expirations on the products returned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must have reliable transportation
Knowledge of CCTV cameras helpful but not necessary
Be able to walk and stand the entire shift
Good computer, research, written and oral skills
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
SORA license preferred but not required
Ability to follow instructions, work independently, produce written reports, be physically fit to conduct patrols, and proactively perform individual responsibilities
Salary commensurate with experience
