Adecco US, Inc. Test Technician in Carlsbad, California
Adecco is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Test Technician Engineer to support manufacturing operations by developing, performing, and maintaining test processes that ensure products meet design and quality specifications. This role involves working with electrical, mechanical, and software-based testing systems, troubleshooting failures, analyzing data, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Schedule: 1:30pm-10:00pm, Monday-Friday
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and maintain production test equipment and fixtures to verify product performance
Conduct electrical, mechanical, and/or software-based testing for safety, capacity, compliance, and functionality
Troubleshoot test failures, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions
Collaborate with design, process, and quality teams to implement and improve test methods
Calibrate and maintain test instruments to ensure accuracy and consistency
Analyze test data and compare results against specifications
Document test procedures, reports, and work instructions
Assist in validation and verification of new products and processes
Support production teams by resolving test-related issues in real time
Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
Train operators and technicians testing procedures and equipment
Ensure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines
Maintain accurate records and report issues through appropriate channels
Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing test environment
Hands-on experience with automated test equipment, data acquisition systems, and instrumentation (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies)
Experience with root cause analysis and failure investigation methods
Skills:
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and test specifications
Basic programming or scripting knowledge (LabVIEW, Python, C#, etc.) is a plus
Excellent documentation and communication skills
Understanding of safety procedures and ESD standards
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while operating test equipment
Ability to lift up to 25–40 lbs. as needed
Work Environment:
Manufacturing/production environment with moderate noise levels
Adequate lighting and temperature-controlled conditions
Standard 5-day workweek with potential overtime based on production needs

Pay Details: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour
