About the Role – Head Baker
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Head Baker to join our team at Park Hyatt Aviara. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on laminated doughs, bread pastries, and a variety of other baked goods. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are dedicated to producing high-quality baked items, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, and laminated doughs, including croissants, Danish, and puff pastry.
Measure and mix ingredients accurately to create doughs and batters.
Follow recipes and adjust based on seasonal ingredients and availability.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Monitor and manage baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal product quality.
Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and improve existing products.
Assist in inventory management, including ordering and receiving supplies as needed.
Maintain equipment and report any maintenance issues.
Wage Information
The hourly rate for the position is $30.00.

Qualifications:
Previous experience as a baker or pastry cook, preferably in a professional kitchen.
Strong knowledge of laminated dough techniques and bread pastry production.
Familiarity with various baking methods and equipment.
Ability to work early mornings, starting around 4:00 AM, with flexibility for additional hours as needed.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Team player with strong communication skills.
