Role Summary
The Category Management Specialist is a strategic role responsible for developing and implementing advanced Category Management processes for Key DT Customers within the DT, IT, and D&P segments. This position offers the exciting opportunity to own the end-to-end execution of category optimization projects and influence retail excellence through advanced analytics and space management. The primary mission is to transform shopper insights into actionable selling stories that deliver measurable ROI and market-leading performance.
Responsibilities:
Lead Category Optimization: Define and implement optimal assortment and shelf placement strategies to maximize space profitability and chain sales across all assigned categories.
Drive Strategic Insights: Develop comprehensive Category Assessments and Productivity Analyses using CP (Colgate-Palmolive) tools to evaluate performance against goals and market benchmarks through quarterly reviews.
Execute Commercial Solutions: Create and present compelling Category Selling Stories and NPI exhibition proposals to clients, ensuring the excellence of pilot project rollouts and subsequent expansions.
Strengthen Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with the CD Team/Sales to identify growth opportunities and support the implementation of advanced execution tools for key stakeholders.
Build Organizational Capability: Lead training initiatives for merchandisers, commercial teams, and external clients on CATMAN methodologies and specialized software tools to ensure market-wide alignment.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree completed.
At least 2+ years of professional experience in Sales, Commercial or Marketing roles.
Intermediate proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Excel for advanced data management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with specialized tools such as Spaceman or Microsoft Access.
Previous experience in the CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of shopper behavior.
Strong functional competency in strategic storytelling and the ability to influence external retail partners.Fluent English proficiency (written and verbal).
