Join Amazon South Africa as the Senior Marketing Manager – Customer Growth & Lifecycle, where you will shape how millions of customers discover, experience, and engage with Amazon. This is a high-impact role at the center of customer experience and business growth, owning the strategy that drives acquisition, repeat purchase, and long-term value.
You will be the single-threaded owner of customer funnel growth, defining and scaling lifecycle programs that influence how customers perceive value and build habits with Amazon. This role goes beyond campaigns. You will use data, experimentation, and customer insights to design end-to-end experiences across touch-points that drive meaningful and sustained growth.
Own lifecycle strategy across acquisition and engagement, driving NTA, repeat purchase, and customer value
Design and scale programs that make Amazon’s value proposition clear, compelling, and easy to discover
Lead cross-channel execution across onsite, CRM, and partner marketing teams
Build and run an experimentation roadmap to continuously improve performance and unlock new growth opportunities
Partner across Marketing, Retail, Prime, and Product teams to influence inputs that drive the customer funnel
Establish mechanisms, dashboards, and playbooks that enable scalable and repeatable growth

Key job responsibilities
Own end-to-end customer growth across the lifecycle funnel, driving New to Amazon, repeat purchase, and long term customer value
Define and execute lifecycle strategy across acquisition and engagement cohorts, including annual plans and event based GTMs
Design and scale cross channel programs that improve value perception, drive High Value Actions, and strengthen customer engagement across key segments
Build and own the experimentation roadmap, using segmentation, targeting, and performance analysis to identify growth opportunities and improve program effectiveness
Partner with Marketing, Prime, Deals, Business, and Product teams to align inputs required to grow the customer funnel and deliver lifecycle goals
Oversee onsite and CRM strategy across key touch points to improve discovery, conversion, and repeat engagement
Establish scalable mechanisms, dashboards, and playbooks that improve visibility, simplify execution, and enable consistent delivery across teams
A day in the life
You will focus on driving customer growth by improving how customers discover, experience, and engage with Amazon. A typical day starts with reviewing funnel performance to identify trends in acquisition and repeat behavior. You will shape campaigns, customer journeys, and value messaging across key customer moments. A big part of the role is testing and learning, using experiments and data to improve performance and scale what works. You will also lead high-impact initiatives, while building repeatable programs and mechanisms that drive long-term growth.
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
Knowledge of SQL at the interemdiate level
Experience with test and learn, marketing optimization, and experimentation
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners
Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint
