Lulalend Relationship Manager: Sales (Talent Pool) in Cape Town, South Africa
Lula is seeking a high-performance Relationship Manager to drive B2B growth by facilitating access to capital for SMEs. The primary objective is to manage the end-to-end sales process for funding facilities between R10k and R500k. This role requires a specialist who can convert high-volume applications while strategically monitoring portfolio performance to facilitate increased capital exposure for growing businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
High-Volume Conversion: Efficiently process and respond to business funding applications to meet and exceed monthly disbursement targets.
Technical Application Analysis: Accurately interpret business bank data and financial metrics to determine which applications meet the criteria for Credit Risk assessment.
Exposure Scaling: Proactively identify existing clients within the R10k–R500k bracket who qualify for higher credit limits or increased capital exposure based on their repayment history and financial performance.
Information Disclosure: Provide clear and accurate information regarding Lula's funding products, pricing, and terms, ensuring clients are fully informed to make their own business decisions.
Retention Management: Maintain a dedicated portfolio of repeat funding clients, fostering long-term trust through consistent service excellence and timely communication.
Pipeline Accuracy: Maintain a rigorous, data-led sales pipeline, providing leadership with factual reporting on status, forecasts, and conversion rates.
THE COMPETENCIES WE'RE AFTER
Skilled in addressing client queries regarding facility terms, interest rates, and fees through factual product knowledge and value-proposition alignment.
Proven ability to drive the sales process from initial inquiry to final disbursement, ensuring favorable outcomes for both the client and Lula.
Ability to leverage CRM data and financial trends to identify opportunities for capital expansion within the existing client base.
Deep understanding of the mechanics of all funding products to provide comprehensive product information.
Maintaining high activity levels and precision within a fast-paced, high-pressure fintech environment.
THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Grade 12 is required; a Degree or Diploma in Finance, Business, or Accounting is highly desirable.
Minimum 2–3 years of sales experience in a fintech or financial services environment, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
Experience working with CRM platforms (Zendesk or similar) and Excel proficiency for data tracking is advantageous
Commitment to upholding internal standards and legislative requirements, ensuring all interactions remain within the non-advisory framework.
