Amazon Product Manager, Sub-Saharan Africa Product in Cape Town, South Africa
Description
The Amazon Now team is a passionate group of mission-focused leaders working on deliveries in under 30 minutes. In this role, you will work with a wide range of stakeholders across operations, technical, business, retail, and finance teams.
The successful candidate will focus on analyzing customer trends and behaviors, deep diving opportunities to improve site-level performance across key metrics including traffic, conversion, and order economics. They will set up and lead programs of work that optimize future performance by identifying structural improvements, testing hypotheses, and implementing data-driven solutions that enhance the customer experience and accelerate growth.
The role will own building localized selection, owning vendor promotions and partnerships, improving pricing and in-stock, and implementing operational process improvements. The successful candidate will leverage their team to build and implement a multi-year roadmap of initiatives that enhance customer selection and drive the flywheel to accelerate growth.
You are expected to work through ambiguity, cut through clutter to find right problems to solve and partner with stakeholders across operations, tech and business (instock, operations excellence, marketing, category) to build world class solutions. All this while building with right speed.
Key job responsibilities
Develop product roadmaps and define product requirements
Collaborate with engineering, legal, finance, and business teams to build
Analyze performance and iterate based on customer feedback and business metrics
Prioritize opportunities based on business impact and customer value
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of product management experience
Experience managing technical products or online services
Experience in product, program, or project management in leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of SQL and VBA at an advanced level
Experience building and analyzing cost/benefit scenarios and business cases and communicating results throughout the organization
