Incubeta Analytics Solutions Architect in Cape Town, South Africa

OVERVIEW:

As an Analytics Solutions Architect, you will lead discovery and solution design for measurement across web and app, translate business goals into practical tracking architectures, and set the quality bar for implementation and QA. You will work closely with client engineering and product teams, ensure solutions are privacy-compliant and scalable, and mentor internal specialists through governance, documentation, and technical review.. Your responsibilities include ensuring efficient and accurate implementation of solutions, conducting quality assurance processes, and mentoring team members to enhance their technical proficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and deliver measurement solutions:

  • Configure and implement web analytics platforms (GA4, Adobe Analytics) and app analytics (Firebase Analytics, AppsFlyer), ensuring event design, parameter standards, and conversions align to KPIs

  • Utilise tag management solutions (Google Tag Manager, Tealium or similar) for analytics implementation, event tracking, debugging and data layer integration.

  • Use industry-standard best practices to implement first-party data solutions such as Consent Mode, Enhanced Conversions and Conversion APIs.

  • Design, implement, and support server-side tagging using server-side Google Tag Manager (sGTM), including vendor routing, first-party collection, and troubleshooting.

Solution Implementation:

  • Define measurement architecture across domains and platforms, including consent constraints, identity considerations, and downstream destinations.

  • Produce tracking plans, event schemas, and data layer specifications in partnership with client engineering teams.

  • Lead technical solution design workshops and turn outcomes into implementable requirements.

  • Own implementation governance, including change control, documentation standards, and release readiness

Technical Support and Issue Resolution:

  • ‘Troubleshoot analytics implementations using Chrome DevTools, Charles Proxy, and tag management tooling to validate requests, payloads, consent signals, and event integrity

  • ‘Define and execute QA plans with documented test cases, evidence capture, and sign-off criteria to ensure accurate data capture, consent behaviour, and reporting integrity

Proactive Project Engagement:

  • Develop tracking plans, define KPIs, and ensure proper analytics tool implementation across websites and apps.

Project Management and Quality Assurance:

  • Meet project timelines and conduct thorough QA checks for event tracking, data accuracy, and conversion pixels.

Client Support and Education:

  • Educate clients on using analytics tools and interpreting reports in platforms like GA4 and Adobe Analytics.

Technical Mentorship:

  • Mentor team members in setting up and utilising analytics tools, including custom events, funnels, and conversion tracking

Documentation and Design:

  • Document analytics implementations, tracking strategies, event schemas, data layer specifications, and custom dimensions/metrics related to individual client projects and deliverables

Development of Analytics Roadmaps:

  • Create strategic analytics roadmaps, outlining implementation phases, measurement frameworks, and future enhancements.

  • Lead on developing relationships with clients and understanding their business needs.

Collaboration with Commercial Teams and Consultants:

  • Work with commercial teams and consultants, providing technical expertise to integrate and optimize analytics solutions for clients.

PLACE WITHIN THE ORGANISATION

  • Reports to the Analytics Operational Lead in the Analytics Team from the United Kingdom

  • Works with the global Ops team, international Analytics teams, local and global Commercial teams, and global Consultants (local and international).

REQUIREMENTS

  • 4-7 years of analytics or technical solutions experience.

  • Analytics Tools and Platforms: Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, SQL, Python, Tableau, and Power BI. These skills are crucial for developing, implementing, and managing analytics solutions that meet the diverse needs of clients.

  • Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is considered a plus. Knowledge of cloud platforms can enhance the ability to manage and analyze large datasets, leverage cloud-based analytics solutions, and optimize data storage and processing for clients.

  • Ability to convey complex technical information effectively.
