Job Summary:
The West Texas A&M College of Engineering invites applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Mathematics to begin fall of 2026. The preferred candidates holds a doctoral degree in mathematics.
Work Performed:
Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in mathematics and/or mathematical statistics.
Develop a scholarly research program incorporating graduate and undergraduate students.
Serve as an academic advisor to students in the major.
Assist college leadership in driving curriculum design and development.
Active participation on discipline, college and/or university committees.
Active engagement in professional development activities.
Be involved in education outreach activities.
Willingness to assume other duties as assigned.
Necessary Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in mathematics.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience and/or interest in K-12 mathematics education.
