Spherion is hiring a Punch Press Operator in Canonsburg. The Punch Press Operator position offers a pay rate of $18 per hour with a 3pm to 11pm schedule. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity.
Description:
As a Punch Press Operator you would be responsible for producing parts to meet specifications in a safe and efficient manner.
What you'll do:
- Produce parts to meet quality standards safely and efficiently
- Operate a punch press machine in manual or automatic mode
- Learn the operating sequence of the machine to ensure it is running properly
- Perform job set-ups to include loading/unloading, programming, and adjustments
- Check finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
*Education: *High School
- High School Diploma or GED
*Experience: *12 months
1+ year of experience with measurement devices, 1+ year of experience reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, 1+ year of experience operating a hydraulic press (preferred)
Physical:
- Must be able to stand for a full shift,Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Skills:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings,Understanding of basic math,Knowledge of manufacturing processes
