Job Title: HVAC Service Technician

Job Description

As an HVAC Service Technician, you will conduct comprehensive inspections of HVAC systems to provide informed recommendations, educate customers on system conditions, and encourage proactive replacement decisions. You will be responsible for generating high-quality leads for new equipment sales and executing large ticket repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of HVAC systems to provide accurate recommendations.

  • Educate customers on aging systems and potential future failures to encourage proactive replacement decisions.

  • Generate and manage high-quality leads for new equipment sales and work with Home Comfort Sales Advisors.

  • Sell and install large ticket repairs effectively.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing optimal home comfort solutions.

  • Strive to deliver a 5-star customer experience with every interaction.

  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

  • Communicate effectively with office support, adhering to daily scheduling.

  • Complete appointments in a timely manner.

  • Clearly and confidently communicate findings and necessary repairs to customers.

  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report service maintenance needs promptly.

  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

Essential Skills

  • Five plus years of experience servicing residential and light commercial HVAC systems.

  • Proficient in diagnostics, repairs, and servicing of HVAC systems.

  • Mechanical aptitude.

  • EPA & NATE certified preferred.

  • Experience with Lennox equipment is advantageous.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks regularly.

  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver a minimum of 75 pounds.

  • Valid CA driver's license

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Sales training and experience in HVAC changeouts.

  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

  • Capability to work in various environmental conditions including heat and cold.

Work Environment

The position requires working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility to start at 7:00 AM and work additional hours if desired. You will need your own hand tools. The role involves working within the Los Angeles territory.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Canoga Park, CA 91304.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $104000.00/yr.
