What You’ll Do
In this senior, customer-facing role, you will act as a trusted advisor to both clients and Teradata account teams by translating business strategy into actionable data and analytics architectures.
You will:
Partner with senior business and technology leaders to understand strategic goals, business challenges, and information needs.
Provide strategic consulting to help clients define and execute data, analytics, and AI strategies that meet and exceed business objectives.
Collaborate with Teradata account teams to define, develop, and document target architectures, roadmaps, standards, and architecture account plans aligned to customer business and IT priorities.
Develop client-specific ecosystem and solution architectures that drive adoption and consumption of Teradata platforms and services.
Contribute to Teradata’s financial objectives through business development, demand creation, and pre-sales engagement .
Act as a thought leader by creating, curating, and sharing architecture assets that improve account team effectiveness.
Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and analytic solutions, bringing innovative ideas and best practices to customers and internal teams.
Mentor and collaborate with peers across the organization, fostering a culture of shared learning and architectural excellence.
Who You’ll Work With
As a Senior Ecosystem Architect , you will be part of Teradata’s Worldwide Data Architecture team and serve as the Data Architecture leader for Australian Government accounts. You will work closely with Teradata account teams, partners, and senior customer stakeholders to design and deliver data and analytics strategies that drive measurable business outcomes.
While your primary focus will be Australian Government customers and prospects, you will also have opportunities to support commercial customers across Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and globally .
What Makes You a Qualified Candidate
You are a seasoned architect and consultant with a strong blend of technical depth, strategic thinking, and executive-level communication skills . You bring credibility, curiosity, and a passion for helping organizations unlock value from data and analytics.
Proven ability to think strategically and advise on digital transformation, data, analytics, and AI initiatives .
Strong consulting and communication skills, with the ability to influence and guide C‑suite and senior executives .
Typically 7+ years’ experience architecting, designing, delivering, or optimizing Data Warehouse and/or Data Lake solutions.
Demonstrated domain expertise in Australian Government , plus at least one industry vertical (e.g., Healthcare, Financial Services, Retail, Telco) or horizontal domain (e.g., Supply Chain).
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with modern AI and Machine Learning techniques .
A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
What You’ll Bring
While not required, the following experience will set you apart:
Background in technology consulting and relevant pre-sales experience.
Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, FEA , and/or Teradata architecture frameworks and principles.
Experience designing and implementing cloud-based architectures .
Working knowledge of SQL and at least one additional analytic or programming language.
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering , or a related discipline.
