Date Description Completed: 01/02/2025Job Title: MachinistLocation: 7059 Harp RoadReports to: The Director of OperationsPosition Summary: Assist Merlin Mold & Manufacturing in completing engineering and machining projects. This may include reading and interpreting blueprints and utilizing different manual or CNC machinery to create tools needed. The Machinist will also assist in preventative maintenance of machine parts. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: •Read detailed drawings or files, such as blueprints, sketches, and those for computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM)•Set up, operate, and disassemble manual, automatic, and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools•Align, secure, and adjust cutting tools and workpieces•Monitor the feed and speed of machines•Turn, mill, drill, shape, and grind machine parts to specifications•Verify that completed products meet requirementsMinimum Qualifications: •High school diploma or equivalent.•1 year relevant on the job training or post-secondary training.•Must be able to interpret technical blueprints, models and specifications.•Manual dexterity due to accuracy demands, sometimes within .0001 of an inch.•Mechanical experience with operating milling machines, lathes, and grinders.•Must understand metal working processes and precision measuring.
