Thompson Health Production Leader - Nutrition Services in Canandaigua, New York
Description
Schedule: Full time
Main Function:
- Responsible for menu planning, food safety training, production team meetings, specialty functions, quality, scheduling coverage, selecting associates, orientation/training, performance assessment, coaching and counseling, recognition and discipline, problem solving, and prioritizing work. Assures that high standards of safety and sanitation are maintained per OSHA, DOH, and JCAHO standards. Enforces department and Health System policies and procedures.
Job Specific Competencies:
Demonstrates skill in preparing schedules, assigning work to associates, prioritizing work, recognizing/motivating, training/coaching, disciplining
Educates, mentors, and leads team members by providing ongoing guidance, training.
Has working knowledge of Food Service procedures, equipment, and supplies, infection control, and health system policies and procedures.
Exhibits flexibility in decision making and prioritizing assignments.
Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with their associates, supervisors from other departments, and all others as needed.
Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system.

Qualifications:
- Serve Safe certification preferred
Education and experience:
+ + High School diploma or GED required
Prior kitchen/food service experience required
Prefer 1-2 years of prior experience as a supervisor
Pay Range: $21.00 - $27.00
Starting Pay: Based on experience
