Thompson Health Insurance Credentialing Specialist in Canandaigua, New York
Description
Schedule: Full time, days
Main Function:
- Ensures that all hospital-based providers are credentialed and recertified with applicable payers, working in conjunctions with the 4 Southern Region hospitals, legal and regulatory affairs, and Professional Billing. Recognizes and supports The Thompson Way. Lives the CARES values at all times.

Demonstrates understanding of third-party payer regulations for enrollment and reverification of medical providers.
Demonstrates ability to maintain a collaborative working relationship with all department team members, system departments, medical staff office, payer representatives, and the medical staff.
Must ensure confidentiality and integrity of all data.
Exhibits time management skills, keyboarding skills, and multi-tasking abilities.
Makes every effort to satisfy the needs of every customer in a friendly, service-oriented manner.

Qualifications:
Energetic individual who demonstrates ability to work both independently as well as with multiple teams of individuals.
Individual must be detail oriented and willing to learn.
Confidentiality of all information is imperative.
Education and Experience:
Associate degree or 3 years related work experience in health care billing required.
2 years of previous medical billing experience, professional billing preferred.
Excellent communication and customer relation skills
Proficient computer skills including Excel, Power Point, Word, and all web-based payer requirements.
Working knowledge of third-party payers
Pay Range: $19.50 - $23.00
Starting Pay: Based on experience
