Thompson Health INPATIENT OB/GYN PHYSICIAN - PER DIEM in Canandaigua, New York

Description

Main Function:

  • Provides high quality, evidence-based obstetric and gynecologic care within the inpatient setting

  • Ensures excellent clinical outcomes while fostering a patient-centered, cohesive, and efficient care environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated expertise in obstetrical and gynecological inpatient care

  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with clinicians, hospital staff, and leadership

  • Ability to lead in high-stress and emergency situations

  • Proficiency in evidence-based clinical decision-making

  • Excellent communication with patients, families, and staff

  • Commitment to confidentiality and regulatory compliance

  • Generates accurate, timely (within 2 business days) documentation sufficient for regulatory, clinical, and billing needs.

  • Responsible for ensuring all professional licenses, registrations, liability insurance education and renewal requirements and applicable physician certifications are up to date and current as required for employment.

Shift: Per Diem 24 hour call shifts 7a-7a

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Obstetrics & Gynecology

  • Unrestricted New York State Medical License

  • Active DEA license

  • Able to gain appropriate FFTH Medical Staff privileges

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of hospitalist or OB/GYN experience preferred

Education:

  • Graduation from an accredited medical school (MD or DO required)

  • Completion of accredited OB/GYN residency program

  • CME participation per board requirements

  • Knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding preferred

  • Current BLS certification

  • NRP Certification Required

Pay Rate: Per Diem Rate
