Thompson Health INPATIENT OB/GYN PHYSICIAN - PER DIEM in Canandaigua, New York
Description
Main Function:
Provides high quality, evidence-based obstetric and gynecologic care within the inpatient setting
Ensures excellent clinical outcomes while fostering a patient-centered, cohesive, and efficient care environment.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrated expertise in obstetrical and gynecological inpatient care
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with clinicians, hospital staff, and leadership
Ability to lead in high-stress and emergency situations
Proficiency in evidence-based clinical decision-making
Excellent communication with patients, families, and staff
Commitment to confidentiality and regulatory compliance
Generates accurate, timely (within 2 business days) documentation sufficient for regulatory, clinical, and billing needs.
Responsible for ensuring all professional licenses, registrations, liability insurance education and renewal requirements and applicable physician certifications are up to date and current as required for employment.
Shift: Per Diem 24 hour call shifts 7a-7a
Qualifications:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Obstetrics & Gynecology
Unrestricted New York State Medical License
Active DEA license
Able to gain appropriate FFTH Medical Staff privileges
Experience:
- 1-3 years of hospitalist or OB/GYN experience preferred
Education:
Graduation from an accredited medical school (MD or DO required)
Completion of accredited OB/GYN residency program
CME participation per board requirements
Knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding preferred
Current BLS certification
NRP Certification Required
Pay Rate: Per Diem Rate
