Thompson Health Environmental Services Project Tech in Canandaigua, New York
Description
Schedule: nights/overnights, available on weekends and holidays
Job Specific Competencies:
Demonstrates skill in cleaning/disinfecting a variety of rooms used for patient care and treatment.
Is knowledgeable of procedures for cleaning, disinfecting, infection control, and safety.
Is able to work with minimal supervision. Is able to organize cleaning duties and prioritize work to complete assignments in an efficient manner.
Maintains collaborative working relationships with nursing and other departments.
Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system.
Qualifications:
Education: Prefer high school diploma or GED.
Experience: Prefer 1 to 2 years of work experience.
Demonstrated expertise in floor stripping and waxing techniques.
Proficient in the operation and maintenance of various machine floor operation equipment (e.g., automatic scrubbers, high-speed buffers, carpet extractors).
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe application.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and push heavy equipment for extended periods.
Pay Range: $18.25 - $20.00 per hour
Starting Rate: Based on experience
