About the Job
Under the direction of the Production Manager, this individual manufactures and loads product for use by customers by performing the following functions: 1) loads product for customer shipment; 2) washing tankers 3) Operating machinery and mobile equipment 4) performing general maintenance.
Required Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Experience: 1-2 years in an industrial environment required. Previous experience with manual transmission and experience backing up trailers is preferred.
Knowledge: Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
Skills: Strong written and verbal communication.
Behaviors: Individual must be self-motivated and have initiative to work as an empowered team with on-site employees to operate a safe and efficient plant, maximize production and reduce costs.
Abilities: Ability to perform general maintenance work. Must be able to climb stairs & ladders and not have a fear of heights. Must be willing to work overtime as needed, including holidays and respond to call-ins to work when the plant requires.
Preferred Qualifications
Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
Assist with the making and loading of lime slurry.
Operate heavy machinery.
Operate forklift and other mobile equipment as needed.
Wash and load pneumatic tankers.
Maintain equipment through preventive maintenance, cleaning, troubleshooting, and repair work.
Assists maintenance in projects, equipment repair/troubleshooting, etc. as required. Initiate requests for maintenance.
Troubleshoot process problems and implement process improvements.
Other duties as assigned.
