Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist

Salary Range: $55,882 - $72,644 per year

Responsibilities

As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist you will:

  • Perform computerized axial tomographic scanning of heads and/or bodies.

  • Review requests from physicians and other healthcare providers for examinations.

  • Explain procedures to patient and/or family.

  • Administer oral and intravenous contrast material in accordance with universal precautions.

  • Position equipment and patient for optimal imaging.

  • Ensure supplies are in adequate supply for the department.

Qualifications

US Citizenship required

  • This position requires the employee to possess and maintain American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) (CT) certification.

Public Law 97-35 requires that persons who administer radiologic procedures meet the credentialing standards of 42 CFR Part 75. They must (l) have successfully completed an educational program that meets or exceeds the standards described in that regulation, and is accredited by an organization recognized by the Department of Education, and (2) be certified as radiographers in their field.
