Position: BASIC PR/SERE High Risk Training Instructor
Type: Full -Time
Location: Camp Lejeune, NC
Travel: 10-15% (Travel to states including CA, FL, NC, SC, TN, VA, ME, and WA; may change per mission need)

Position Summary: Basic PR/SERE HRTIs are responsible for supporting all phases of SERE/Personnel Recovery training under the direction of senior instructors and leadership staff. They deliver classroom, field, and practical instruction, serve as role-players and evaluators during exercises, and ensure the safety and welfare of students while maintaining compliance with government training standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
These services are required to support unique efforts which may require:
Deliver SERE classroom, field, and scenario-based instruction under supervision
Participate in training area preparation and role-play events
Safeguard students and maintain safety/risk mitigation procedures
Support development, review, and update of training materials
Document training activities, student attendance, and evaluations
Required Skills and Abilities:
Possess/maintain Secret clearance
Ability to obtain/maintain CAC/SIPR token access
U.S. Citizenship/Residency required
Proficient English communication
Must meet High-Risk Training Instructor requirements as stated in NAVMC 1553.2, Appendix D
Graduate of an approved DoD FSLC SERE Course or a combination of SERE Level C and Peacetime Detention/Hostage Detention (PGDHD) (or equivalent – e.g., SERE 211, 215, 225) as certified on DD214, OR be willing to successfully complete the MARFORSOC PR/SERE FSLC SERE course
Minimum of 3 years of U.S. military service with at least a general discharge under honorable condition
Demonstrate teamwork and effective communication
Comply with all SOW, DoD, and MARFORSOC policies
Meet instructor OF-178 physical requirements
Meet all physical requirements for high-risk instruction
Function in classroom, field, and simulated captivity environments
Willing to work flexible schedules and extended hours based on training demand
Physical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk, listen, and write. The employee frequently is required to use foot/ankle motions, hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
