Position : Press Brake Operator Level 1-3
Location: Cameron Park, CA
Status: Full Time day shift, some overtime required
Hours: Monday - Friday

$20.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience

General Description:
Operate a variety of manual, NC and CNC machines including press brakes, hardware press, shears, and finishing equipment. Will be responsible for properly placing work piece in the machines and completing the operations specified on the job travelers. Must be capable of interpreting blueprints and part specifications to select the correct material, tools, and fabrication processes. Must be familiar with programming formats. Should have a good working knowledge of inspection equipment and be capable of selecting the proper inspection tool to verify product conformity to specifications. Working knowledge of programming techniques both at the machine control and via CAD/CAM software.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Skill Level Knowledge Requirements
Capable of interpreting and editing NC and CNC programs
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Reads blueprint and job traveler specifications to determine the proper tooling required to set up each operation
Builds fixtures as required to hold work piece
Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of work piece to specifications using standard measuring tools
Modify programs as required to meet product conformity
Maintain statistical reporting
Deburr work pieces as required
Clean parts as required
Complete routine machine maintenance
Non-Essential Responsibilities
Drive forklift
Setup hardware press
Other duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
Minimum of 5 years working with sheet metal equipment including NC and CNC controlled machines
Good math skills
General mechanical skills
Basic familiarity with the use of hand tools
Experience with setting up press brakes, shear, calipers, square, protractor, height gage and indicator surface plate
Knowledge of K factors and bend allowances
Basic blueprint skills
Knowledge of fabrication with the following materials: Stainless Steel, Titanium, Aluminum, low carbon steel and assorted plastics
High school diploma or GED
