Description:
You will be the Assembler Sr. Spec / Painter / CRC working in the PrSM/ATACMs Canister paint booth as a full time painter, will also be required to proficient in spraying copper coatings as well. Our team is responsible for delivering high‑quality painted assemblies in a fast‑paced, team‑based environment.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Assembler Sr. Spec / Painter / CRC you will be responsible for supporting production and related processes in a collaborative manufacturing setting.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Operate depth‑mic, digital multimeter, profilometer, tensile‑test gauge, and automated measuring equipment to verify part dimensions.
Prepare, mask, and spray copper‑coated finishes in the PrSM/ATACMs canister paint booth, adhering to strict aerospace tolerances.
Utilize hand tools (torque wrenches, drills, inspection tools) and read measuring devices, rulers, tape measures, and scales accurately.
Lift and maneuver components weighing up to 30‑50 lb while maintaining an acceptable attendance record per Lockheed Martin guidelines.
Document paint‑mixing, masking, and surface‑preparation data using SAP and Microsoft Office, ensuring compliance with applicable specifications.

Basic Qualifications:
Must be able to use hand tools (i.e. torque wrench, drills and inspection tools).
Ability to properly read a variety of measuring devices including rulers, tape measures, and scales.
This facility requires special access and therefore all candidates must be a US Citizen.
This job will require lifting of up to 30-50 pounds. Demonstrated background/Knowledge of and ability to operate spray painting equipment and use acceptable spray-painting techniques on conveyor lines, in paint booths, or in other designated painting areas to layout, mask and apply finishes in complex multiple colored patterns. Ability to obtain paint mixing, masking, and surface preparation information from applicable documents and use decimals, fractions, and proportions. Ability to apply protective and decorative finishes in conformance with specified tolerances.
Desired Skills:
Production experience in a manufacturing environment and/or equivalent education or certification. Specialized training in specific aspects of job functions and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks. Knowledge of basic computer skills and Microsoft Office programs. SAP and flex-net experience. It is desired to have the following minimum level of experience:
1. One year of production spray painting experience, either aircraft or auto body. (ability to operate spray painting equipment and use acceptable spray-painting techniques).
2. One year’s experience in the application of decals and spraying stencils, or other equivalent experience.
3. Prior experience spraying conductive copper maintaining strict aerospace tolerances.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
