Job Title: Welder
Job Description
As a Welder, you will work in a designated welding station, where you will be responsible for reading and interpreting welding diagrams, fitting and welding structural steel sheets and tubes, and performing MIG welding up to several feet in one weld with a width of 10mm or more. You will also grind down welds, operate various machines to form metal, inspect welds, and ensure that finished products meet weld diagram specifications. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Responsibilities
Work in a designated welding station
Read and interpret welding diagrams
Fit and weld structural steel sheets and tubes
Perform MIG welding up to several feet in one weld, with a width of 10mm+ Grind down welds and operate different machines to form metal
Inspect welds and ensure finished products meet specifications
Complete other duties as assigned
Essential Skills
3+ years of MIG welding experience in vertical and horizontal positions
Ability to read and interpret welding diagrams
Proficiency in taking accurate measurements and converting units
Comfortable working in confined spaces (4-5ft diameter cylinder)
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Blueprint reading
Experience in fitting, machine operating, and TIG welding
Tack welding and grinding
Knowledge of weld diagrams and solid wire

Work Environment
Work in a very large, well-organized, and maintained welding shop. Although it can be hot inside when it's hot outside, there are lots of fans and large bay doors open for air circulation. Enjoy a great work culture where everyone is approachable and willing to lend a hand. Shifts available include a day shift from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and an afternoon shift from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime is optional and available after 40 hours, with double-time pay on Sundays.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
