As a Lab Technician, you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. You will be responsible for the maintenance of the electro-coating line and powder lines chemical processes!

Key Responsibilities

  • Titrate, maintain and supervise all process production lines daily at scheduled times.

  • Make chemical, change filters as needed, trouble shoot the pump, heat exchange failure and slurry adjustments to maintain pre-treatment and ecoat baths.

  • Run phosphate, paint, and powder coated panels for testing purposes.

  • Maintain calibrations and corrections factors of the lab equipment daily

  • Ensure all preventive maintenance items including but not limited to bath dumps, cleaning spray nozzles, cleaning walls of tanks, removing obstructions including parts from tanks as required well maintained.

  • Test and maintain wastewater treatment systems to ensure effluent water and sludge is to by-law standards. Complete all Waste Water Technician duties including the waster water towers, RO, DI system. Chemical storage and waste management.

  • Monitor and maintain lab supplies, chemicals, reagents. Verify and approve incoming process supplies & materials via dock audits.

  • Maintain and handle laboratory records and experimental data, master files and databases, Input data for SPC charts per requirements.

  • Aligned with lockout/tagout and confined space procedures, chemical safety system.

Qualifications

  • College or University Bachelors Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, Industrial chemistry.

  • Ability to work in a very fast paced environment

  • 2+ years running the e-coat process line experience.

  • Knowledge and familiarity the statistical process control and MSA .

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly.

  • Available to work afternoon shift with flexibility to work overtime & weekends as required.

  • Willingness to be apart of chemical process industry.
