Amazon Canada Fulfillment Services is hiring a Data Analyst to support the Inventory Control / Quality Assurance (ICQA) team. The Data Analyst assigned to ICQA will work closely with the ICQA and operations teams in Inbound and Outbound to provide data and analytical support for ACES initiatives, root cause investigation of defects, and will provide support to ensure compliance to ICQA-related SoX requirements.
The Data Analyst will own the insights, set up analysis, and create automated dashboards and reporting. They will be responsible for identifying data sources (internal / external) to invent and simplify mechanisms and create custom reporting and analytics automation tools.
Operating in a fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment, you will be required to work autonomously, taking full control and responsibility for achieving business objectives. Key job responsibilities
Development of data collection processes and data management systems
Maintenance of data integrity (0% error rate)
Designing of queries, compiling of data, and generation of reports in MS Excel
Charting and graphing of data for reporting purposes
In depth research of defect trends
Data collection and entry as needed
Data mining and problem solving
Back up for Process Assistant duties
Basic Qualifications
2+ years of professional or military experience
Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
Are 18 years of age or older
2+ years of business analyst, data analyst or an equivalent role experience
1+ years of using SQL to extract and manipulate data experience
Bachelor's degree, or High school or equivalent diploma
2+ years of professional work experience, or experience in MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel
Experience writing complex Excel VBA macros
Experience in advanced SQL, Python, Tableau
Experience demonstrating problem solving and root cause analysis
Experience with modern software development, web development frameworks, APIs
1+ years of project management experience
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience
Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
Experience dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile environment
Experience programming with at least one software programming language, or experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling
Experience with data scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R, or equivalent) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab, or equivalent)
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Supply Chain or related field.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
