Job Title: Forklift Operator Job Description
As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating the Versa-Lift 40/60 MHE on the axle line, lifting loads ranging from 10,000 lbs to 45,000 lbs. You will move unfinished axles between workstations, ensuring they are properly positioned and fastened. Additionally, you will complete inspections on MHE to ensure safe operating conditions.
Responsibilities
Operate Versa-Lift 40/60 MHE on the axle line.
Lift and transport loads between 10,000 lbs and 45,000 lbs.
Move unfinished axles between workstations.
Ensure axles are properly positioned and fastened.
Conduct inspections on MHE to ensure safe operation.
Essential Skills
Experience operating Versa-Lift brand machinery or similar heavy-duty machinery.
Valid forklift certification.
Experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing setting.
Skills in material handling, inventory, and general labor.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in operating reach trucks, overhead cranes, and other equipment.
Experience with heavy equipment.

Work Environment
You will work in a very large, well-organized, and maintained welding shop. Although it can get hot inside when the weather is warm, there are plenty of fans and large bay doors open for air circulation. The work culture is supportive, with approachable colleagues who are always willing to help. The shift is Monday through Friday from 2pm to 10pm, with a pay rate of $21 - $25 per hour depending on experience, plus a $1 shift premium for afternoons. Overtime is optional, with time-and-a-half pay after 40 hours and double-time on Sundays.
