Position Description: Workforce Development Program Coordinator
Reports to:
Executive Director
Job Summary:
The Workforce Development Program Coordinator is responsible for implementation and oversight of the CHW Training program and Network activities and the RAMPing Up Recovery on the Shore (RURS) initiative. These grant-funded projects focus on expanding the CHW and Peer Recovery workforce, while also promoting advancement and sustained employment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and has strong communication skills. They must be able to manage multiple timelines, partners, and deliverables in a part-time role.

Program Coordinator Duties
Specific to CHW Programming:
Plan, develop, organize, and coordinate CHW training programs and Network activities to meet grant standards and performance measures
Recruit and train individuals participating in the accredited Community Health Worker Training
Promote scholarship opportunities and participate in screening and interviewing applicants who apply for funding
Teach (or schedule others to teach) health promotion and Community Health Worker educational programs
Aid in curriculum updates and speaker recruitment for specialized topics and trainings
Specific to the RURS Project:
Coordinate all logistical aspects of RURS training cohorts, including training schedules,
locations, virtual platforms, and materials in collaboration with the training consultant and host site
Coordinate outreach and recruitment in partnership with behavioral health providers, recovery
organizations, ENOUGH program coordinators, and local health departments
Support eligibility screening processes, including scheduling and coordinating interviews to
assess readiness and commitment in collaboration with partners
Collaborate with peer staff at partnering organizations to ensure participant barriers are identified
and addressed
Maintain regular communication with all project partners
Assist in coordination related to ESAHEC becoming an MABPCB-approved continuing
education provider
Assist with data collection and evaluation activities in collaboration with the project consultant
General job duties:
Develop materials that meet standards and guidelines of specific grant awards.
Maintain positive communication with program participants
Maintain accurate participant records and program documentation for grant reporting
Develop and distribute surveys and evaluations for review of programs
Track progress toward grant deliverables and performance targets
Support preparation of reports, success stories, and documentation required by funders
Arrange necessary purchases through the Executive Director within budgetary limitations
Identify problems and negotiate corrective action concerning programmatic issues and basic
budgetary management
Schedule and attend meetings with partners, including community-based organizations, education
and training providers, policy leaders, community members, and health providers to foster
engagement and support of program objectives
Attend other relevant meetings as required at the request of the Executive Director
Some evening and weekend hours may be required
Qualifications and Abilities
Required:
Bachelors Degree in Public Health, Education, Social Work or related field
Strong teaching/training and presentation skills
Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise program activities
Ability to maintain accurate records and files
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing
Experience working with community-based orga izations, training programs, or
workforce development initiatives
Commitment to recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and equity-centered practices
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Possess a valid drivers license and have access to a reliable, currently insured vehicle; up to 30% travel within the Eastern Shore
Preferred:
Lived experience with substance use recovery, behavioral health services, or peer support (highly valued)
Familiarity with peer recovery roles, CPRS certification, or MABPCB standards
Experience as a Community Health Worker
Knowledge of Eastern Shore community resources and service systems

Benefits:
$30-35/hour based on experience, 24 hours per week
