DESCRIPTION:

As a Senior Technical Project Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will lead strategic initiatives that drive our mission of making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. You will manage multiple high-impact projects spanning business transformation, process optimization, and organizational change across divisions. In this role, you'll partner with senior leaders to translate strategic vision into executable plans while guiding cross-functional teams to successful delivery. You'll establish project governance, support accountability, and ensure alignment with business objectives through clear communication and robust project management practices. This position offers the opportunity to create meaningful impact by leading initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, drive growth, and improve customer experience across our organization.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience preferred, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in project/program management leading complex, cross-functional initiatives

• Preferred Fields of Study: Business, Engineering, Science, or related field

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

• Change management certification (e.g., Prosci, CCMP) a plus

• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with budgets exceeding $3M

• Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies and best practices

• Strong proficiency with project management tools and software (MS Project, PPM Pro, etc.)

• Advanced skills in stakeholder management and senior-level communications

• Experience leading organizational change management and business transformation initiatives

• Proven ability to collaborate and guide teams in matrix organizations

• Excellence in risk management, issue resolution, and status reporting

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, PPI)

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to travel up to 50%, based on project needs

• Project management experience across multiple regions preferred

• Experience in life sciences, manufacturing, or related industries preferred

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in West Virginia is $118,100.00–$177,200.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
