Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, FDA, and state/local regulations.
Maintain and update permits, licenses, and environmental reporting requirements.
Safety Program Management:
Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and procedures.
Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and safety audits.
Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis; implement corrective actions.
Training & Development:
Design and deliver HSE training programs for employees and contractors.
Promote safety awareness and continuous improvement initiatives.
Environmental Stewardship:
Oversee waste management, emissions control, and sustainability programs.
Monitor environmental impact and drive initiatives to reduce carbon footprint.
Emergency Preparedness:
Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
Coordinate drills and ensure readiness for potential incidents.
Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare and submit required regulatory reports and internal performance metrics.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and compliance activities.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field (master’s preferred).
Experience:
Minimum 7+ years of HSE experience in a pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environment.
Proven track record of managing compliance programs and leading safety initiatives.
Certifications:
CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), or equivalent preferred.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, FDA regulations.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to influence and drive cultural change across diverse teams.
