Position Description

The Laboratory for Particle Physics and Cosmology at Harvard University invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Fellowship to be associated with the ATLAS experiment. Applicants for this position should have a Ph.D. in experimental particle physics. Experience with state-of-the-art detector systems and with the analysis software of a particle physics experiment are required.

The successful applicant is expected to be stationed at CERN and work with Prof. Melissa Franklin, on the muon spectrometer including maintenance, operations and performance of the NSW muon detector. Applicants should send a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, and a statement of research interest, and arrange for three (3) letters of reference to be sent electronically to Melissa Franklin (melissafranklin@g.harvard.edu). Basic Qualifications

Candidates for this position must have completed their Ph.D. degree by the

appointment start date.

Salary Range

Salary Range

$67,600-$80,000

Pay offered to the selected candidate is dependent on factors such as

years of experience, training or qualification, field of scholarship, and

accomplishments in the field.
