    Posting Description

    FACULTY ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT 2 ,  Koch Institute (KI) for Integrative Cancer Research (https://ki.mit.edu/) , to provide complex and diverse administrative support to KI Faculty and their labs and participate in community-wide initiatives overseen by KI Administration. Responsibilities include providing a range of advanced administrative support to the Faculty members, acting as gatekeeper and primary point of contact, and exercising discretion while managing requests for information and access; managing complex calendars and coordinating high volume scheduling, including internal and external meetings, conferences, professional engagements, and travel for the Faculty; and ordering supplies.

    Job Requirements

REQUIRED: High School diploma or an equivalent combination of experience; a minimum of three years of administrative, office, or related experience; experience with and ability to handle sensitive information and situations; strong interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written communication; demonstrated customer service; ability to interact and communicate with a wide range of individuals at all levels; attention to detail in preparing materials and tracking all aspects of programs and events; ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands; able to work both independently and as a team member with minimal supervision; exercises critical thinking and sound judgment in prioritizing tasks, resolving problems, and making recommendations; demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy; use independent judgment regarding administrative issues impacting the faculty and labs; must be proactive by anticipating and initiating actions regarding operations; excellent organizational, time management, and tracking skills; advanced knowledge of Office 365 and a variety of computer software applications; and committed to promoting community and our values at the KI.
