Job Title: Fencing Installer

Job Description We are seeking a dependable Fencing Installer to join a small, experienced crew installing high-quality residential, commercial, and agricultural fencing . This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on outdoor construction and values craftsmanship and a strong work ethic. Experience in construction, installation, or general labor is highly valued for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Install a wide variety of fencing systems, including cedar wood, chain-link, vinyl, aluminum, and ornamental steel .

  • Install agricultural and residential posts, wire, gates, and panels.

  • Carry out site preparation by digging post holes using augers and gas-powered post drivers .

  • Utilize specialized equipment to lift, position, and set fence posts and gates.

  • Collaborate with the foreman to pour and finish concrete footings and maintain a safe, organized work area.

Essential Skills

  • Prior experience in construction, installation, or general labor .

  • Willingness to learn specific fence installation methods and construction techniques.

  • Ability to perform continuous physical labor , including stretching, bending, and carrying materials.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to perform frequent heavy lifting .

  • Capability to work outdoors in all weather conditions .

  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented mindset.

  • Preferred experience with power tools, concrete finishing, or operating skid loaders .

Work Environment

  • This is a seasonal role where work typically pauses when the ground freezes (usually late December).

  • Standard schedule is Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM , with rare Friday overtime.

  • Crew members report to the shop each morning and travel to job sites in a company vehicle .

  • A professional appearance is required, including construction boots and company-provided logoed shirts; all other necessary PPE is provided

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cambridge, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
