GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Systems Integration Test Engineer plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of software and hardware components, subsystems and/or systems. Supports program/project in verifying customer contractual requirements into system test solutions at PLEXSYS and onsite at customer locations. Documents, evaluates and reviews use case requirements. Verifies software and hardware interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities to support programs/projects and other parts of the organization. Documents defects or configuration issues found and reports system integration test findings; communicating the results to the interested parties. Performs integration testing to verify and validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develops, maintains, executes, use cases to support Projects and Programs
Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive system test plans and procedures
Collaborates with Programs and Engineering teams to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret system tests for products, systems, components
Performs formal and informal integration testing, formal acceptance test, and operational system testing to support programs
Performs maintenance release system testing to support the verification approach to user stories and requirements
Supports various types of testing including data input/output validation, security, data integrity, performance, usability, integration, compatibility with supported configurations, and regression testing
Familiarize PLEXSYS employees on system level use cases and customer configurations
Clearly, completely, and promptly documents and updates defects and feature requests within the defect management database
Recommends changes to match user expectations with application functionality
Supports management in defining, developing and improving department processes and procedures
Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree or four (4) years of operational experience
Four years military C2/C4ISR operational experience or six years C2/C4ISR customer ops support
Experience setting up and configuring networks
Must have critical thinking capability and be able to identify, document, and reproduce technically oriented problems
Experience using Microsoft and Linux operating systems
Familiar with Software Development Lifecycle and industry testing best practices
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
Desirable
Two years of PLEXSYS product experience
Familiarity with virtualization technologies
Familiarity with virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) technologies
Experience with scripting languages
