City of Camas Maintenance Worker I - Stormwater in Camas, Washington

The City of Camas is currently seeking to fill a full-time position in the Stormwater Division of the Public Works Department. The individual selected for this position will primarily perform major and minor construction, maintenance and repair work on City stormwater systems; and performing a variety of stormwater maintenance work relative to assigned area of responsibility.
The hours for this position are normally Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m., or as assigned. This position is represented by the AFSCME Local 307-CC bargaining unit and is eligible for a full benefits package.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade
- One year of maintenance or construction experience is desirable
- Possession of a valid Class A preferred
- Possession of a Flagging card within 6 months of date of employment
In addition to the job description requirements, the preferred candidates will possess the following attributes: positive attitude, ability to take initiative, excellent customer service skills, good verbal, and written communication skills, demonstrated organizational and decision-making skills and flexibility to work non-standard hours as needed.
