Position Overview
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the school setting is responsible for conducting student evaluations and providing direct speech-language therapy services. Services are delivered and documented in accordance with each student’s individualized plan of care and physician orders, when applicable.
Assignments will be within PVSD, with specific placement details to be confirmed closer to the start date.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct speech and language evaluations for students
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Provide and document speech-language therapy services
Collaborate with school staff, educators, and multidisciplinary teams
Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
Maintain compliance with professional, state, and district standards
Minimum & Preferred Qualifications
Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of assignment (required)
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required per state/contract
Compliance with all professional standards of practice
Current CPR certification (if applicable)
TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
Pay & Compensation
Local SLP Option
Hourly Rate: $85/hour
Estimated Weekly Pay: $3,187.50
Travel SLP Option
Hourly Rate: $50/hour
Weekly Pay Package: Up to $3,814
Housing Stipend: $1,337/week
Meals Stipend: $602/week
