Job TitleSr E&I Supervisor Planner*LocationCalvert City, KYEmployment TypeFull-Time, ExemptPosition OverviewThe Senior Electrical Supervisor / Planning Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant-wide electrical distribution and process control systems. This position provides hands-on leadership to Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians while driving maintenance planning, scheduling, and continuous improvement initiatives in support of plant operations.Reporting to the I&E Manager, this role partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Safety, and Environmental teams to maintain compliance, improve asset reliability, and support production objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Supervision- Directly supervise and mentor up to 16 hourly Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians- Provide technical leadership and coaching to promote high-quality maintenance execution- Conduct meaningful safety meetings and reinforce site safety programsMaintenance Planning & Execution- Review maintenance work requests and generate detailed work orders- Manage and prioritize maintenance backlog in coordination with Operations and Engineering- Lead planning and scheduling meetings to optimize labor and equipment availability- Coordinate maintenance activities with other craft groups and external contractors- Review work plans to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and correctlyElectrical & Instrumentation Reliability- Oversee plant-wide electrical distribution and process control systems- Assess electrical infrastructure effectiveness and recommend improvement projects- Lead or support implementation of electrical and reliability improvement initiatives- Maintain accurate equipment history and maintenance records within the CMMSCompliance & Continuous Improvement- Ensure compliance with all applicable *electrical, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards- Coordinate with Environmental teams to maintain regulatory compliance and documentation- Support and uphold the company's Integrated Management System- Provide feedback and performance data to Operations and Maintenance Engineering teamsMaterials & Vendor Coordination- Source MRO parts and plant supplies by coordinating with approved suppliers- Support cost-effective purchasing and material availability for maintenance activitiesRequired QualificationsEducation & Experience- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering OR- High school diploma or equivalent with 10+ years of experience as an Electrical Journeyman or equivalentTechnical Skills- Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting in industrial environments- Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (Allen Bradley preferred)- Process instrumentation (e.g., Rosemount, pH analyzers, MicroMotion)- Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement skills- Ability to interpret electrical codes, standards, and technical documentationLeadership & Soft Skills- Demonstrated supervisory and interpersonal skills- Strong written and verbal communication skills- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously- Proven ability to drive improvements through innovation and collaborationPreferred Qualifications (Not Required)- High-voltage experience (13.2 kV and/or 161 kV systems)- HVAC systems maintenance experience- SAP CMMS experience- Six Sigma certification or similar continuous improvement trainingWork Environment & Expectations- Works closely with Management, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Safety, and Environmental teams- Must follow all federal, state, local, and corporate safety, environmental, and quality requirements- Position requires presence on-site in a manufacturing environmentWhy Join Us?- Opportunity to lead and influence plant-wide electrical reliability- High-impact role supporting critical production operations- Collaborative environment with strong emphasis on safety and continuous improvement- Competitive compensation and benefits packageArkema Inc. provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to r ace, color, r eligion, s ex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
