Job Title: General Laborer

Must be open to working weekends

Job Description

This role supports field construction activities on a solar farm by assisting with cutting and removing conduit, pulling wire, and performing general labor tasks. You will work closely with experienced tradespeople in a construction environment, contributing to basic electrical and solar-related tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with cutting and removing conduit and pulling wire under the direction of experienced team members.

  • Perform rough carpentry and form setting tasks for commercial construction projects as directed.

  • Handle general construction labor duties such as moving materials, setting up and breaking down work areas, and maintaining a clean job site.

  • Use basic hand and power tools safely and correctly to complete assigned tasks.

  • Follow instructions from supervisors and skilled trades professionals to support daily project goals.

  • Work outdoors on a solar farm, performing physically demanding tasks while standing for most of the shift.

  • Adhere to all safety procedures and site regulations to maintain a safe work environment.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of construction experience in a commercial or similar environment.

  • Ability to use basic construction tools safely and effectively.

  • Ability to follow verbal and written directions accurately.

  • Experience working with concrete, formwork, and general construction tasks.

  • Capability to perform physical labor, including standing for most of the shift and working in high temperatures.

  • Reliability and punctuality in reporting to the job site as scheduled.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Solar construction experience is a plus.

  • Electrical experience, including exposure to conduit and wire pulling, is a plus.

  • Experience in rough carpentry or form setting is beneficial.

  • Familiarity with commercial construction sites is advantageous.

Work Environment

This position is entirely outdoors on a solar farm, where you will work in high temperatures and varying weather conditions. The environment is a traditional, old-school construction site with active heavy equipment and trades in close proximity, requiring consistent use of appropriate workwear and safety gear as directed by site policies.

This is a Contract position based out of California City, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
