Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Travel Mental Health Coordinator to work at a facility in Pasadena and Santa Clarita, CA * .* * * These are registry positions with our company.
This is a travel position located in * * California City , CA . Candidate must live 70+ miles from the facility to qualify for this position.
Based on 40 hours: Hrly $40, Stipend: lodging $770 M&I $476=$1246. Total Comp $2,856 Blended rate: $71.75
- Shift: Days- could be 1st or 2nd shift8 hour shifts, both weekday and weekend13 week initial duration
Job Summary:In our organization, these professionals are placed in the position of Mental Health Coordinator to plan and provide clinical mental health services of a non-medical nature in the facility. The successful candidate should be able to perform ALL of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the actual job performance requirements.
Job Responsibilities:-Conducts mental health screenings and assessments based on a review of available records and clinical interviews with inmates.-Provides treatment to inmates by developing, implementing and modifying individual treatment plans based on an evaluation of needs and level of functioning.-Documents treatment and evaluation activities in the health care record for each person seen.-Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive materials and information at all times.-Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques by way of treatments and activities used for individuals in caseload.-Provides appropriate mental health assessments, counseling and crisis interventions to address the needs of inmates. Schedule Notes:Days- could be 1st or 2nd shift
8 hour shifts, both weekday and weekend
13 week initial duration

40 hours/week guaranteed, but candidates must still have open availability for scheduling as needed per the client scheduling policy.
Only considering candidates with current/active CA license. Must be LCSW or LPC
US Citizenship required for ICE clearance - expedited clearance in place for new activation - candidates will be subject to thorough background & credit investigation for clearance
ICE Clearance is taking 4-6 weeks to obtain. Can start as soon as ICE clearance is received.
Skills: Required Skills & Experience:-Five (5) years of clinical experience which includes two (2) years in a comparable job position.

Education: Required Education:-Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling or a degree in a related clinical area.
Preferred Education:-N/A
Required Certifications & Licensure:-Must possess appropriate LPC, LCSW, LMFT certification or licensing in the state where practice occurs.-A valid driver's license is preferred unless required by contract or applicable statute.-Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
