Job Description:
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday day shift, no call, no weekends, no holidays!
Performs high-quality mammography exams, positioning patients and operating equipment to ensure optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis.
Ensures patient safety, identification, and comfort, including consent, time-out procedures, and clear, compassionate communication.
Maintains compliance with MQSA, FDA, and ACR guidelines, including quality control testing and regulatory documentation.
Manages accurate documentation and workflows in EMR and PACS, including tracking, follow-ups, and coordination of additional imaging or procedures.
Supports department operations by maintaining equipment/room readiness, monitoring inventory, and collaborating with radiologists and the care team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Knowledge of Mammography and Diagnostic Radiological Procedures/Positions [Required]
• Ability to determine appropriate technical factors [Required]
• Knowledge of Mammography equipment and MQSA and ACR regulations [Required]
• Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation Safety [Required]
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds [Required]
• Ability to complete Mammography exams in a timely manner even under stressful condition [Required]
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
• Ability to make judgments that must be made on a regular basis regarding exam protocols and imaging techniques, based upon patient condition and provisional diagnosis [Required]
• Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures [Required]
• Must maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures [Required]
• Ability to follow Basic Radiation Safety concepts of time, distance, and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patients and staff [Required]
• Performance of 2D and 3D mammography exams [Required]
• Customer Relations [Required]
Education:
• High School Grad or Equivalent [Required]
• Associate [Preferred]

• 1+ year of experience [Required]

Pay Range:
