Job Title: Sr. Crown Royalty Analyst

Location: Calgary, AB

Our client is seeking a Sr. Crown Royalty Analyst to join their team. As a Sr. Crown Royalty Analyst, you will be part of the Royalty Accounting department supporting the Crown Royalties team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Description:

  • Generate and submit annual Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) filings with the Saskatchewan Government.

  • Interpret financial results and perform variance analysis for management during monthly, quarterly, and annual periods.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to calculate annual EOR rates for forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning, including booking YTD financial accruals in SAP.

  • Assist with Saskatchewan Crown audits and coordinate with audit teams to ensure compliance and accuracy.

  • Support the calculation of monthly royalty accruals and ensure system configurations align with Crown Royalty policies.

Qualifications:

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.

  • Bachelor of Commerce degree or equivalent experience in accounting or finance; professional accounting designation is an asset.

  • Minimum of 9 years of oil and gas accounting experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, Group Reporting, Power BI, Spotfire, and BW.

  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
