Job Title: Sr. Business Development Engineer

Location: Calgary, AB

Our client is seeking a Sr. Business Development Engineer to join their team. As a Sr. Business Development Engineer, you will be part of the Midstream Energy Development Department supporting project development initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, collaborative attitude, and technical expertise, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Description:

  • Support initial concept scoping and development of midstream energy projects in collaboration with the commercial team.

  • Provide technical support and cost-effective scope alternatives for infrastructure expansion or optimization.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including operations, regulatory, and third-party engineering firms.

  • Perform financial and economic analysis to evaluate project viability and ongoing commercial activities.

  • Create technical documents, presentations, and schematic sketches to capture project scope concepts.

Qualifications:

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer or eligible for registration with APEGA.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a P.Eng.

  • At least 2 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably midstream.

  • Proficiency with pipeline hydraulics simulators such as Synergi (SPS) and Microsoft Office applications.
