EPAM Systems Senior Android Developer in Calgary, Alberta

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement sophisticated features for our Android application using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks

  • Architect scalable solutions that enhance user experience while maintaining high performance standards

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform product requirements into elegant technical solutions

  • Optimize application performance, memory usage, and battery efficiency for diverse Android devices

  • Conduct thorough code reviews and provide mentorship to elevate the team's technical capabilities

  • Lead technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions that shape the future of our mobile platform

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional Android development experience with demonstrated expertise in Kotlin

  • Strong proficiency with Android Architecture Components and Jetpack Compose for modern UI development

  • Experience implementing MVVM architecture and dependency injection using Dagger or Hilt

  • Proven ability to build and maintain large-scale applications with complex data flows

  • Experience with performance profiling, memory optimization, and crash analysis tools

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience in mobile development
