Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. Mobile Utility Equipment Operator in Calgary, Alberta

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Safely operate a excavator, front-end loader, telehandler and skid-steer to support production and material handling.

  • Perform basic equipment inspections and report irregularities promptly.

  • Assist in day to day maintenance tasks on a mobile crushing plant, including plant break downs, setups and moves.

  • Assist with material handling, including loading, hauling, and stockpile management.

  • Support general plant and yard cleanup to maintain safe, efficient operations.

  • Collaborate with team members to complete daily tasks and respond to changing priorities.

What We Are Looking For

  • Aggregate experience with strong knowledge of extraction and dewatering processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate or learn to operate heavy or utility equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Strong awareness of safety practices and commitment to working safely in all conditions.

  • Ability to perform physical tasks and work in a fast-paced industrial environment.

  • Reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to take initiative.

  • Capability to follow directions, adapt to changing duties, and maintain attention to detail.

Conditions of Employment

  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination and background check.

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Verification of age will be required as a condition of employment.

Work Environment

  • Plant moves across Southern Alberta and moves every 3-4 months. LOA and Accommodations are provided when plant is more than 1 hour away from Calgary cooperate limits.

  • Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
