Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you'll work in our IBM Client Innovation Center (CIC), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Role Overview:
As an Associate Maximo Developer, you will support the implementation, configuration, and enhancement of IBM Maximo Asset Management and IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) solutions. Working under the guidance of senior consultants and developers, you will gain hands-on experience across the full delivery lifecycle while building strong technical and functional foundations in enterprise asset management.
Key Responsibilities
As an Associate Maximo Developer, you will be able to:
• Support the configuration and customization of IBM Maximo applications to meet client business requirements.
• Assist in the development of automation scripts, workflows, application configurations, and UI changes within Maximo.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
• Participate in design, build, testing, and deployment activities for Maximo implementations and upgrades.
• Support data migration, data loading, and data validation activities using Maximo tools and utilities.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and client stakeholders to understand asset management processes and system needs.
• Assist with system testing, defect resolution, documentation, and user support.
• Learn and apply IBM and industry best practices for enterprise asset management solutions.
• Stay current with Maximo product updates, new features, and emerging technologies within the Maximo ecosystem.
Required technical and professional expertise
Core Competencies
• Basic understanding of enterprise systems or asset-intensive business processes (maintenance, work management, inventory, or asset lifecycle concepts).
• Familiarity with software development or system configuration concepts.
• Exposure to databases, data structures, or SQL is an asset.
Technical Skills
• Exposure to programming or scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) is preferred.
• Familiarity with relational databases and basic SQL concepts.
• Exposure to IBM Maximo, enterprise asset management systems, or ERP platforms is an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Soft Skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, team-based consulting environment.
