Amazon Operations Manager, Transportation Operations Management in Cajamar, Brazil

The Transportation Operations Management team is looking for a Regional Manager with leadership experience to own and execute strategic and cross-functional yard operations.

An ideal candidate is organized and has excellent analytical skills. He/she has the ability to lead and mentor people; analyze data and make sound recommendations in an often ambiguous environment. One of the main responsibilities in this role is to standardize and improve processes; while analyzing and eliminating root cause of defects within the current systems. This job will require exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence change at a local (facility) and Network level.

Key job responsibilities

• Orchestrate daily yard operations and optimize resource allocation to maximize throughput and operational efficiency across the transportation network

• Drive continuous performance improvements in truck and container utilization through data-driven analysis and implementation of best practices, achieving measurable cost reductions and capacity gains

• Champion safety and quality initiatives by establishing standardized procedures, conducting regular audits, and fostering a culture of operational excellence

• Serve as strategic liaison between fulfillment and transportation teams, ensuring seamless communication, alignment on priorities, and rapid resolution of cross-functional challenges

• Design and implement analytics frameworks and process improvements that enhance visibility, enable proactive decision-making, and scale operational capabilities

• Develop strategic resource planning models based on forecast analysis, capacity constraints, and network optimization to support business growth and seasonal demand fluctuations

Additional Requirements:

• Flexibility to work in shifts and on weekends when required

• Adapt to different environmental conditions

A day in the life

You will be responsible for managing the transportation process within a fulfillment center. Your top priorities are to ensure the safety of associates and drivers, maintain quality KPIs—including On-Time Departure (OTD), On-Time Pickup (OTP), and container utilization—and drive operational excellence. You will lead a team of Operations Leaders and report directly to the TOM Regional Manager.

Basic Qualifications

  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (macros, pivots, lookups) at an advanced level

  • Employee and performance management experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications

  • Performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
