Your Role on Our Team:

Under the direction of the Manager, Manufacturing Engineering, this role leads a team of engineers responsible for developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes that support new product introductions and ongoing production operations. The manager works cross-functionally with design engineering, quality, operations, and supply chain to ensure products are designed and launched with manufacturability, quality, and cost efficiency in mind.

The focus of this role is translating product designs into reliable, scalable, and cost-effective manufacturing processes through structured validation, data-driven decision making, and proactive risk management.

This position works in a team environment and uses engineering expertise to contribute to advanced products and processes while supporting operational excellence across the manufacturing organization.

You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

Manufacturing Process Development

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes supporting new product introduction and production operations.

• Direct the design, build, and validation of production tooling, fixtures, and processes with clear validation plans and documentation.

• Collaborate with suppliers and equipment vendors to develop and implement manufacturing equipment and automation solutions.

• Ensure manufacturing processes meet quality, cost, and throughput requirements while supporting operational scalability.

• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing issues using structured problem-solving tools.

• Develop and maintain process documentation including work instructions, validation reports, and process standards.

Project Management Skills

• Manage manufacturing engineering projects supporting new product introductions, cost improvements, and process improvements.

• Prioritize engineering resources and activities to support production needs and program milestones.

• Track project schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables while providing regular updates to leadership.

• Coordinate cross-functional activities between engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain teams.

Technical Leadership Skills

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to manufacturing engineers

• Promote structured problem solving, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision making across the team.

• Support manufacturing site with process improvements, troubleshooting, and best practice implementation.

• Help develop engineering standards, documentation practices, and process validation methods within the team.

• Participate in design and manufacturing reviews to ensure manufacturing readiness for new products.

The TOOLS you’ll bring with you:

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally for equipment evaluations, supplier visits, or manufacturing support.

• Estimated yearly travel: 10–20%.

• Ability to quickly learn new manufacturing technologies and processes.

• Willingness to maintain a hands-on engineering approach when supporting manufacturing projects and problem solving.

Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:

B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering required.

• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience, with leadership or project management experience preferred.

• Experience supporting new product introductions and manufacturing process development preferred.

• Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with manufacturing or statistical analysis software.
